The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is investing in research on memory improvement:
“DARPA has a new program to get into your brain and improve your memory and skills. The Restoring Active Memory Replay program will spend two years trying to understand how memory works and what parts of the brain contribute to memory building. To test the developing theories, the subjects will be practice activities related to the Department of Defense, which is rather different than the usual civilian activity training. Part of that is to see if the new memory knowledge can apply to improving or rehabilitating the memory of people in the military.”
