Another year of meditation

Today, I completed another 365 days of daily meditation. I highly recommend the Insight Timer app, both as a motivator and a daily tracker.

    Wow! I need to try the App … How long does an average meditation session last you?

      You can set the time for however long you want. And you can find guided meditations ranging anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. I meditate for 20 minutes every day, but I think that most people would benefit from even a few minutes. The best advice I can give is to try to develop the discipline of daily practice, even if it’s only for a short duration. Once you have established a regular practice then you can slowly work on increasing the time.

        Thanks for the suggestions; I’m going to give this a try (I realize now that when I was in college at UCSB and would walk alone to the shore just to clear my mind, I may have been actually meditating!)
