Cool Tools

18 Jan

My copy of Cool Tools finally arrive this week. I had ordered a copy for a gift with no problem, but when I tried to get one for myself I found that the first printing had sold out. Now that I have a copy I can say that it was worth the wait.

One of the most surprising things about this book is that while virtually all the information in it is available on line at the Kevin Kelly’s Cool Tools website, the book is still worth every penny. The physical book still has some advantages over digital presentations of the same information, a fact discussed in this interesting New York Times article.

The book has several good suggestions for memory improvement, including reviews of spaced repetition software, and language learning aids.
